The route starts in Kiev, goes through Borispol, Yagotin, Piryatin, Lubny, Xorol, Poltava, Kharkiv (the name Kharkiv – Rostov remains at this way), Chuguev, Izyum, Slavyansk, Artemovsk, Debaltsevo, Krasniy Luch, and is finished at the Dolzhanckii check gate, leading through Novoshaxtinck to Rostov–on–Don.

- from Chuguev to Rostov–on–Don is 452 km.
At the Kiev – Debalcevo way coincides with the part of the European road route E40 (Kale – Brussels – Krakow – Kiev – Volgograd – Tashkent – Alma – Ata – Ridder). Debalcevo – Dolzhanckii way is referred to the route E-50 (Brest (France) – Paris – Prague – Uzhgorod – Donetsk – Rostov–on–Don – Makhachkala).

It is possible to cross the border of the route from Belgorod to Kharkiv in several places: Nehoteevka – Goptivka (without turning away from the main route), Shebekino and Graivoron (in case of detour of the check gate Nehoteevka – Goptivka). IAChG Shebekino has a customs post.
